The cook was super cool. Very personable and great at his job. The prices are fantastic and the food is great. I'll definitely keep coming back.

Cheesesteaks are sooo bomb, we eat here once a week since discovering them. I'm from Baltimore and these Cheesesteaks are the closest thing to home. My only con is I wish they would have regular sub rolls as an option. The owner is really nice as well

Hard to beat these cheesesteaks! Loaded with meat, and super fresh. Tasted like it was farm to table. The bun also tasted like it was right out of the oven, fresh and fluffy. The service was also great, very friendly! We have been here a few times and have never had a bad experience.

The sub rolls are fresh and packed full! If you haven't had the appetizers yet, you need them all! Highly recommend.

If you haven't stopped by and tried a cheesesteak sub... you're missing out. Guapo's cheesesteak sub was absolutely delicious! I had mine with american cheese & cheese whiz mixed, hot & sweet peppers, green peppers & onions. It had great flavor and was huge in size. It is literally 1 of the best cheesesteaks i've ever had. You will not be disappointed.

We were passing through York, PA and had a craving for a cheese steak, Guapo's didn't disappoint. If you're looking for a delicious cheese steak with some great waffle fries then Guapo's is the place for you.
The service is friendly, attentive and personable.

This was my first time... it was pretty good! Lots of meat and seasoned well. I will try other cheesesteak variants and I wanna try the wings next... they have wraps also...

Stopped in for take out due to Covid. We had visited once prior when they first opened. Tasty cheesteak. Waffle fries and tots are also good. Easy go to for a quick dinner, and a dang good cheesteak to boot. Literally ready in 5-10 minutes. Only complaint, no fountain soda option. Friendly staff. 12 inch steaks are huge.

Absolutely delicious. I've had the cheesesteak wrap twice now, and both times the meat was juicy and well seasoned. The sides we've gotten (onion rings and waffle fries) have also been great. We'll be ordering takeout from these folks regularly. Highly recommended!

Slamming cheesesteak!

WAS good but to much for me as I do wish I knew it was going to be that big as I only needed a 6in as the 12in was to much for my stomach since my gastric bypass. No a fan of the waffle fries but they were OK and salty .

Place is amazing. The food was superb and staff friendly and attentive. Wish we would have tried sooner. Can't wait to go back

Delicious cheese steaks! Service was quick and very friendly. Waffle fries were delicious too. Meat could be seasoned a bit more but the hot pepper relish more than offset a lack of seasoning.

The cheesesteaks are pretty good. Meat is well-seasoned. The only complaint is that the bread is too soft and doesn't hold up well to the steak. It doesn't fall apart or anything, it's just soft/soggy. The waffle fries were good, also well-seasoned, but the portion size seems to vary from order to order.

We decides to try this place out, and boy are we glad we did. The cheesesteaks are amazing. 12 inch fresh roll, packed full of meat, and lots of toppings to choose from. Everyone can have their favorite. Adding a side of waffle fries or onion rings for just a dollar is a bonus. We really like that they get their rolls from the bakery just down the street. Delicious. We definitely will add this to our list of go to restaurants.

Ordered their build your own combo on GrubHub. It was amazing, so much food for $13. Sooooo good. Definitely will order again.

Me and my bf finally got out of the dmv and the first place tried was this place. It was delicious, the cheesesteak that we did share was huge. We also got waffles and onions. It was too much for me. He ate his portion. Also great service so friendly and nice. I would 100 percent recommend

My husband and I ate here Saturday lunchtime. We both had the el guapo sandwich. My husband had it with grilled onions,mushrooms and green peppers. He had cheese wiz on his. I had the same sandwich except no green peppers. And wiz on mine as well. We both had a side of onion rings as they were on one dollar each with purchase of a sandwich. I had water and my husband had a bottle of soda.

Both sandwiches were hot and fresh. Truly yummy cheesesteaks. You can choose many toppings and cheese. Making it to your liking. The sandwich was loaded with meat so we had to take half home. This is our new place for cheesesteaks! Good job!

I've been to all the places in York that claim to offer the best Cheesesteak. After numerous recon missions I have come to a conclusion. Guapo's is the place to go if you need that Philly Cheesesteak craving fulfilled. The steak is seasoned to perfection. The bread pairs perfectly with the steak, onions and wiz. And talk about fresh bread. It's baked less than a100 yards from the shop. And the portions? No skimping whatsoever. On top of that, they offer and sell Old Grumpy Mark's hot sauce. The best hot sauces in York County. Do yourself a solid and check this place out. If you're not happy you probably need your palette recalibrated...(seriously)

As authentic as it gets - By far the best cheesesteaks in York. Prices are simple, service is quick, menu is to the point, and Guapo's ACE's it every time. I've never left with an empty stomach

Best cheesesteak in York county.. period. It's not 100% like Pat's in philly, but it has a strong running up with them. Great price, huge huge sandwich. Lots of restaurants in the area like to use a red sauce or throw lettuce and tomato on the sandwich...that's not a traditional philly cheesesteak! Thank god they do NOT do that! Always fast service, very clean. Highly recommended.

OMG! The Philly is so good I could die! A hands down genuine Philly Cheese Steak. If you miss them like I did, you have got to come here. Fast friendly service. They have Irish Cream cheesecake too. To order it or not? Oh these tough life questions.

Best cheesesteaks I've ever had. Even better than the famous Philadelphia rivalry. Even the bread is delicious. They have a small menu but focus on their specialty.

Highly recommended. I tell everyone that asks where to get a good cheesesteak. Some friends from out of the area have driven out to just try them, only to return the next weekend. I'll take that as confirmation of a good recommendation.

Great cheesesteak however not a fan of Amoroso's. There are so many rolls from the Philly/ Jersey area that are better. Also, rolls should be deliveres every day!

First time trying Guapo’s. In town for a basketball tournament. The lady who took my order was so sweet. The cheesesteak did not disappoint. I finished every bite. I should have taken her suggestion for waffle fries vs tater tots.

I am so in love with this place. The cheese steaks are large and stuffed full of delicious meats and cheese.
I chose a salad which was like a huge hot sub in a bowl. I had chicken and anything else I craved on it; mozzarella,cooked onions,sweet peppers,mushrooms, hot creamy garlic sauce . It had plenty of large chunks of the chicken on it .
They are very
accommodating with everything I asked to have on it.

One with Marinara Sauce and one without. Our choice of cheese was American. The steak was seasoned great and with all the goodies made my taste buds do the happy dance. Been wanting a good cheesesteak in York without driving all the way to Philly. They also have BYOB and free Yuengling with order. Food can be ordered Keto friendly (no bread) for those watching carbs. Really friendly staff and very new place by established restauranteur.

These are actual Philly Cheesesteaks on Amarosa Rolls. If you live in Central Pa this is the place to get a cheesesteak. The staff is friendly and nice. We really enjoyed the food and look forward to coming back.
